For a family or group of friends that want a little bit of everything: this trip lets you spend enough time on each side of the peninsula to keep everyone happy.
You will definitely enjoy getting to know La Paz, a quaint seaside, and truly authentic, Mexican town. The streets are safe; the malecon, or boardwalk, is filled with walkers, joggers, and skaters long past sunset. The food is incredible and the people are a treat. Your trip will have two nights in a La Paz hotel and two nights in Cerritos, near Todos Santos. The October trip has three nights on Espiritu Santo because you will want the extra snorkeling time.
The Sea of Cortez has been called the world's aquarium for the amount of marine species that live here - both in numbers and in variety - this is the place to snorkel and dive! The calm protected waters allow you to take long paddles, either kayaking or on a stand-up paddle board around isolated beaches and impressive shorelines. Our safari-stale camp on Isla Espiritu Santo, a UNESCO World Heritage site which does not allow permanent developments is rustic, but completely comfortable. We charge our batteries during the day with solar panels, we always have light. Your safari-style tents are big enough for raised beds, and have plenty of room to relax or take a siesta. You will enjoy your time here, 2-3 nights is hardly enough, but you will get a taste of the island from both above and below the surface. Kayak the protected waters, snorkel with hundreds of colorful, tropical fish, hike to amazing vistas, and replenish yourself with delicious food and refreshments at our safari-style basecamp on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
The Pacific beachfront town of Cerritos is a great place for surfers of all levels. Experienced surfers can paddle out to the main break while boogie boarders and beginners will love the beach break. Our beachfront palapas allow us to enjoy the essence of the ocean comfortably. Surf, beachcomb, and enjoy the idyllic, wave-filled beaches for two nights. You'll have time to visit Todos Santos, an artist community with optional hiking and yoga activities. Then enjoy one more night in La Paz.
